Rhovyl

Founded in 1948, Rhovyl produces polyvinyl chloride (PVC)-based synthetic fibers known as chlorofibers.

For a long time, the main application for Rhovyl fibers was clothing. The range was expanded in the 1970s to meet the needs of the military and theatrical sectors. The 1980s saw a diversification of applications for Rhovyl fibers, notably in the medical and industrial fields.

Today, Rhovyl continues to produce high-quality fibers in France, appreciated for their unique properties.

Filature de l’Avesnois

A sister plant to Rhovyl since 1996, Filature de l'Avesnois, founded in 1838, was one of the many spinning mills that flourished in the southern Avesnois region until the 1970s.

The plant combines a long-fiber spinning facility with a short-fiber spinning facility.

The combination of woollen tradition and specific know-how enables Filature de l'Avesnois to produce high-specialty yarns, intended for the comfort apparel sector or for technical applications.
